Rolls Royce Phantom Conquistador by Mansory

Rolls Royce Phantom Conquistador by Mansory
OK, Mansory's at it again. Right after presenting a pimped-up version of Bentley Continental GTC, the German tuning studio has unveiled a modified Rolls Royce. Well, it looks that recipes proven on Bimmers and Audis just don't work when it comes to real cars.

In this case, the recipe is really simplistic. Take a pair of side power vents from Jaguar, add 22-inch forged wheels and paint them black, install sporty trunk lid and cheap-looking rear bumper with holes for a pair of stainless steel exhaust tail-pipes. Glue on new side skirts, paint the car in a mate black and here you go with the Rolls Royce Phantom Conquistador by Mansory.

Inside, there is Shadow Black leather cladding from Glasurit, and pieces of solid silver replacing the original chrome parts. Adding insult to injury, Mansory puts in carbon-fiber panels and Alcantara upholstery, as well as mounting LCD monitors in the back rests of front seats. Russian oligarchs would love that, I suppose.

Well, the exterior modifications must be expensive but the result looks cheap, just like those attempts to make a Rolls Royce out of old VW Beetle.

Rolls-Royce Phantom Silver - 100 years of the Silver Ghost

Rolls-Royce Phantom Silver - 100 years of the Silver Ghost
by Rory Jurnecka

The Silver Ghost is undoubtedly one of the most highly-revered Rolls Royces ever to wear the "Spirit of Ecstasy" hood ornament - something the English luxury automaker seems to be well aware of.

To commemorate 100 years of the Silver Ghost (the name was adopted in 1907), a celebratory event was held at Rolls-Royce headquarters in Goodwood, England, where over 60 vintage Silver Ghosts gathered and Rolls announced that a limited-edition Phantom Silver will be produced - with a host of features that distinguish it from your more "ordinary" Phantom.

Immediately noticeable is the Metallic Ghost Silver paintwork and the Santos Palissander wood veneer that lines the dashboard and center console. You'll have to look a bit harder to spot some of the other changes, though. For example, you probably won't be able to tell at first glance that the Spirit of Ecstasy is now made of solid silver or that the wheel centers have been chromed. But once you know, you'll likely not have it any other way.Rolls-Royce Phantom Silver - 100 years of the Silver Ghost

Yes, indulgence is the name of the game with the Phantom Silver, and Rolls-Royce isn't one to hold back. Take delivery of this land yacht and you'll find your key inside a box that shares the same wood veneer as the interior. Also enclosed are two key fobs and a Conway Stewart fountain pen - all made of solid silver and looking quite bespoke. Feel like celebrating your new purchase? You'll find two silver-detailed champagne flutes in the rear section of the car.

As may be expected of a limited-edition, there won't be many Phantom Silvers available. In fact, just 25 will be produced. How much? We don't know, as Rolls-Royce isn't yet saying, but we expect to have trouble financing one of the champagne flutes, let alone the car.
